Movie Popcorn

May 20, 2011 by Kerry

I am not going to lie there have been occasions I have gone to the movies just for the popcorn…and this weekend might end up being one of them! 🙂  I just wish that Kinoplex theaters were not only located in Brazil because I am loving their newly designed popcorn boxes that accommodate a glass of wine or beer and I would LOVE to try their gourmet olive oil popcorn that comes in flavors like garlic, pepper, basil and truffle!

Baby Food: Three of My Favorite Veggies

May 3, 2011 by Kerry

J and I were recently talking about the possibility of making some of our baby food from scratch when our “little button” gets to that stage.  I am loving these recipes from Wiley Valentine for baby friendly veggies.  How about my all my moms out there, do you make your own baby food?  Any tips you would like to pass along?

Green Tip: Reuse Old Frappuccino Bottles

April 8, 2011 by Kerry

Rather than just recycling those old frappuccino bottles peel the label off and reuse them the next time you serve smoothies or even daiquiris on a hot day!

Citrus Cravings

February 15, 2011 by Kerry

I have been craving citrus my whole pregnancy and everyone at my office is always laughing at me cause there are always 5-10 oranges, lemons, grapefruits etc sitting on my desk!  So on my hunt to find more subtle ways to get my citrus fix I stumbled upon this fabulous smoothie recipe that not only uses lime juice but also Greek yogurt!!

Orange Banana Smoothie Pops
1 container(s) (7-ounce) Greek yogurt
2/3 cup(s) thawed orange juice concentrate
2 large bananas
Zest of 1 lime
1 tablespoon(s) fresh lime juice

Directions
  1. Puree one Greek yogurt, thawed orange juice concentrate, bananas, lime zest, and fresh lime juice in a blender.
  2. Pour into six 3-ounce molds. (They used mini baking tins with Popsicle sticks, but you can also substitute paper cups.) Freeze until smoothie pops are solid, about 4 hours.
  3. To release pops, dip molds into hot water until pops loosen and slide out. If using cups, peel away paper.
